The eleventh series of The Chase Australia began on 31 January 2022, and has Larry Emdur entering his second season as host.
On November 10, 2021, Labbett stated on Twitter that he was hoping to return to Australia in 2022. On November 24, 2021, Labbett stated in his appearance at the ITV Palooza that he would return to Australia to do the filming in February, officially confirming his return to Australia since early 2020.
The UK Chasers were unable to travel outside the UK due to COVID-19 travel restrictions imposed on British nationals during 2020. Hegerty returned to film in Australia during 2021 and Labbett filmed in the USA during 2021.
The first episode with Labbett as the Chaser aired on March 22, 2022, ending his two-year absence in Australia.
The $96,000 bank on the first episode of the season was the largest bank since episode 52 of the fourth season, when four contestants banked $98,000.
On episode 26, for the first time on record, a contestant managed to bank a high offer from Cheryl Toh.
