Ken Jennings is one of the Chasers in the American version of The Chase. He joined the show in January 2021, with the other Chasers Brad Rutter and James Holzhauer. Jennings is the highest-earning American quiz-player of all time.

In the gameshow Jeopardy!, Jennings holds the record for the longest winning streak with 74 wins. He also holds the record for the highest average correct responses per game in Jeopardy! history.

After his success on Jeopardy!, Jennings wrote about his experience and explored American trivia history and culture in his book Brainiac: Adventures in the Curious, Competitive, Compulsive World of Trivia Buffs, published in 2006.

Following Alex Trebek’s death on November 8, 2020, Jeopardy!'s producers said on November 23, 2020 that Jennings will host the show as the first of a series of guest hosts. The Chase was filmed in November before Jennings headed to the Jeopardy! studio on November 30th to begin his stint as an interim guest host. His guest hosted in episodes aired from January 11 - February 19, 2021 and became Jeopardy host alongside Mayim Bialik since the episode aired on November 8, 2021. Jennings did not return for the third season in order to focus on becoming a full-time host of Jeopardy!
